Old Tech Meets New Style: The World's Sexiest Sextant
I never thought I would see a modern styled sextant. I really never thought I would see a sextant in a trend-setting magazine like WIRED. This piece really caught my eye. If you are a collector of nautical gear, this would be a great addition to add to your display case. At $1,500+ I am sure that this will be more for the wealthy yachtsman than the average merchant vessel.

I don't think Ive ever seen a white sextant- I guess they were going for that I-Pod styling! I do like that opalescent white coloring. It is very different!
Sextants are expensive to begin with- so I am not sure if this one is too much more expensive than a standard professional sextant...
I would buy one if I had any need for it (and a boat load of cash!)
White sextants also were made by Freiberger in East Germany as well. C&P sextants are great, but personally, I'd always opt for a C. Plath Navistar over a newer C&P. Navistars are no longer made, but can be found in the same price range as a new C&P.
